Pacha by Barcelona Party Animals

Alright, so picture this: It's almost midnight and I've got my pubcrawl crew in tow, buzzing with excitement and maybe just a little tipsy from the earlier bars. Our next destination? Pacha Barcelona. Now, if you've ever strolled down Barcelona’s seafront at night, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about—there’s that electric atmosphere that practically screams, “You’re about to have the night of your life!” And trust me, we are.

By the time we roll up to Pacha, there’s always a massive queue out front. I’m talkin’ about that line that snakes around the building, jam-packed with partygoers eager to get in. But guess what? With my pubcrawl crew, we don’t do queues.
Nope. One of my favourite parts of the whole night is strutting right to the front like we own the place. Security waves us through, and boom—we’re in. Skipping that line is a moment of pure bliss, not gonna lie. Watching everyone else glare in disbelief is the icing on the cake. It’s like the VIP dream you never knew you had.

Once inside, it’s impossible not to be impressed by Pacha’s signature style: that fresh white colour everywhere, contrasted by the iconic red cherries.
The space feels airy yet intimate, with soft, rounded shapes giving off this cool Ibizan vibe. It’s honestly so sleek that I sometimes pause to snap a few pictures (just try not to drop your phone in all the excitement, like I did once—long story). The interior was developed by the Pacha Group’s design team, alongside Pepe López del Hoyo, which basically means some real pros worked their magic here.

Now, if you know me, you know I’m all about variety in my parties. And Pacha’s got it in spades.
They open every single day of the week—so even if you’ve lost track of what day it is (as we all do sometimes in Barcelona), there’s always something going on. Monday? The main room’s all about Vibra, giving you a shot of Reggaeton, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and R&B. Tuesday? FLIRT gets you into a similar blend, with enough bounce to keep you on the dance floor till sunrise. The week then charges ahead: Wednesday is FULL PARTY, Thursday is BAE, and by the time Friday hits, you’ve got MOULAGA rockin’ the main room with top hits, reggaeton, and R&B, while EROS in the Red Room pounds out techno and tech house for the real hardcore ravers.

Oh, and let’s not forget Saturday. Saturday is basically an all-day celebration for those of us who never want the party to end. Tardeo EL PARIPÉ starts things off in the main room with top hits in the earlier hours, warming everyone up for the nighttime madness.
Once the evening’s in full swing, you can hop into PEGAO in the main room, dancing to everything from R&B to Afrobeat and reggaeton, or immerse yourself in the heavier sounds of techno and tech house at SINNER in the Red Room. Finally, Sunday wraps up the weekly schedule with SIGHT (techno, tech house, house) in the main room and D’LOCOS (reggaeton, hits) in the Red Room. If your feet can still move by Sunday night, you’re officially a party legend in my book.

But let me tell you a little secret: Pacha is more than just a nightclub. During the day, part of the venue transforms into a Beach Club vibe. They’ve got this seafront terrace—some bits covered, some open-air—where you can chill out with a cocktail or two (or three, who’s counting?).
The music shifts to chillout and deep house, so it’s basically the perfect way to detox from all that madness you had the night before. Plus, there’s a restaurant that serves up an incredible mix of Mediterranean and Eastern-inspired cuisine. I’m not exactly a food critic, but I do know that whatever they’re cooking, it’s fresh, flavourful, and can soak up the booze you’ve been downing all night. Pro tip: if you’re feeling a little worse for wear from the previous evening’s escapades, grab a late lunch there—you'll perk right up, trust me.

Sometimes, when I lead the group in, I’ll point out the décor to the newbies. You see people’s faces light up when they notice the sleek design. Even if we’re all about the partying, it’s kinda nice to appreciate the surroundings for a moment before diving right back into the madness.
Then we’re off to find the nearest bar, and inevitably, that’s where the real fun starts. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen new friendships form over a shared love of reggaeton or a mutual attempt at some dance battle. And hey, if you spot me, I’ll probably be chanting my usual catchphrase: “Don’t think about it, drink about it!” which, ironically, always leads to more questionable dance moves. But that’s part of the charm, right?

The energy in Pacha is indescribable.
One minute, you’re swaying to the bass-heavy Afrobeat track, the next, you’re belting the lyrics of an R&B throwback. Then, all of a sudden, you wander over to the Red Room and find yourself lost in a pulsating techno set, realising you’ve discovered a whole new side of your music taste you never knew you had. It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure, all under one roof.

What really makes Pacha special—aside from the top-notch design and epic music—are the people. You’ve got locals celebrating a night out, travellers ticking off that ultimate Barcelona clubbing experience, and old timers like me who’ve seen it all and still come back for more.
The staff are super chill and helpful, the bartenders never skimp on the pours, and the sound system will have your heart pounding in the best way possible.

So, if you’re tagging along on my pubcrawl and you’re worried about the queue at Pacha—don’t be.
We’ll skip right through it and dive headfirst into the white-and-red wonderland that is Pacha Barcelona. From the seafront terrace to the two rooms banging out different beats, there’s more than enough action to keep us going until the sun starts peeking over the Mediterranean. And trust me, once you’ve seen that sunrise, you’ll understand why Barcelona is a city that never sleeps. It’s all about the magic moments—those nights that blend into days, the strangers that become mates, and the stories you’ll be telling long after you’ve packed your suitcase and headed home.

And if you see me in the middle of it all, throwing back a shot and dancing like there's no tomorrow—well, don’t be shy. Come say hi. Because at Pacha, with the right crowd, every night is a night you’ll never forget. Cheers to that!
